This painting is inspired by the movement of trees swaying in the wind. While we often think of trees as simply bending to the elements, I wanted to capture their almost human-like sense of resistance. The composition centers on a dominant tree that appears to confront the force head-on, as if willfully bearing its weight. Surrounding it, the other trees come together like a family or collective, unified as they face the elements in the rugged terrain. Their see-through appearance hints at their underlying vulnerability.
